In Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian, you’ll find lots of points of light with a blue, red, green, and gold glow. These are places where you can perform Wire Actions as Rias. They’re not quite a zipline, but these will let you swing across a gap or pull yourself up to a higher area that was previously inaccessible.
The blue wire action is unlocked automatically as part of the story. However, the Bungee Gem that unlocks red, green, and gold wire actions requires you to find recipes and make the items using alchemy. These recipes are out of the way and can easily be missed. This guide explains where to find each one and gives you the recipes.
As a note, Slade has a similar mechanic to access inaccessible areas using the Geist Cores to break walls in Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian. To unlock all of the Geist Cores, you just need to progress the story. The final one (Geist Core – Purple) will be unlocked after the boss battle in Part 7.
Bungee Gem – Green (Wire Master Vol 1)
Location: Cape Petal
Unlocks in: Part 3
Recipe: Bungee Gem – Blue, Schwertite, Arbor Ivy
Go to Cape Petal by fast travelling to Floral Raft Coast, then go right. Take the repeated wire points that lead to two chests, which are next to each other. It’s inside one of these. See the arrow indicating the player’s position on the map on the screenshot below.
Bungee Gem – Red (Wire Master Vol 2)
Location: Folmin Mine
Unlocks in: Part 5
Recipe: Bungee Gem – Green, Schwertite, Goldinite
Go to Folmin Mine by fast travelling to Rockspring Plautau. There will be two chests next to each other, slightly below this point. It’s inside one of these. See the arrow indicating the player’s position on the map on the screenshot below.
Bungee Gem – Gold (Wire Master Vol 3)
Location: Shooting Star Lake
Unlocks in: Part 6
Recipe: Bungee Gem – Red, Schwertite, Ancient Sword
You’ll find it in the top left corner. You will need to swing on a blue and red wire to reach this area. You’ll find two chests, which are next to each other. Open it to get the final wire master recipe book. See the arrow indicating the player’s position on the map on the screenshot below.
Where to find the Other Items for the Recipe?
Each of these recipes, other than the first, requires you to have created the previous recipe to get the relevant Bungee Gem. You start with Bungee Gem – Blue, use that as part of Bungee Gem – Green, that as part of Bungee Gem – Red, then finally that as part of Bungee Gem – Gold.
Schwertite is always found in the chest next to the Wire Master books. However, it may not be found elsewhere in Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian.
Arbor Ivy can be gathered in Baynort Road, Blyde Grasslands, Lemna Marsh, Sentinel Pass, Hill of Prayer, Cape Petal, Shooting Star Lake, Ancient Temple, and Mt. Bone-Eater.
Goldnite can be gathered in Cape Petal, Lapis Crystal Save, Meridie Volcano, Ancient Templete, Evermaze Forest, Dripcrystal Cave, Mt. Bone-Eater, Loiky Lava Cave, and Dripcrystal Cave: Peculiar.
If you’re having trouble finding Goldinite for the recipe, you can request it from Ryza if you’ve completed her sidequest.
Ancient Sword can be gathered in Forgotten Ruins, Val Mine, Meridie Volcano, Ancient Temple, Skyglow Path, Loiky Lava Cave, Darklit Tundra, Ancient Capital Corridors, and Dripcrystal Cave: Peculiar.
