Outside of Anime Expo 2025, the following visual novel announcements were revealed.
NekoNyan has announced that they and Kagura Games will be releasing Futamata Ren’ai: Two Times the Trouble by ASa Project at the end of July. An exact release date has not yet been announced.

Our protagonist, Koga Nao, wakes up one morning in high spirits. The birds are singing… and a girl is with him. The girl, Toiro Kirame, he met the previous night at a college drinking party. While he’d only meant to take care of her after she’d had too much to drink, confusion and a gap in her memory leads to her mistakenly assuming their relationship and demanding he take responsibility by going out with her. However, the situation grows complicated when Nao’s longtime crush, Nobuta Yua, responds to his many confessions out of nowhere and declares that he’s now her boyfriend.
While he now finds himself with two girlfriends, this is no joyous occasion. He has to manage his relationships with them without letting anyone know he’s two-timing, while also dealing with his ever-changing and evolving friendships.
Will he be able to navigate his way out of this sticky, romantic quagmire to reach a happy ending for everyone involved, or will the weight of his dishonest behavior drag him down to his demise? Find out in this messy, unpredictable, and drama-filled romantic comedy!
Studio Élan have released Upwards, Rain! The Post Office of Farewells, which they describe as “one part visual novel, one part puzzle adventure”.
On the outskirts of a small village stands a massive tree whose canopy disappears far above the clouds. While grandiose on the outside, its interior houses the humble Mortem Post, which receives and delivers letters from those who have passed on. Deciding to break protocol to lend a helping wing, Rain, a flighty little courier takes a skittish girl by the name of Mila on an adventure through the inner workings of the post office. Together, they search for a letter containing the last words of someone who seemingly never existed.
Ratalaika Games have released All The Words She Wrote on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.

Takaoka Mayo is a twenty-four-year-old woman without any life plans, but she does have a passion: namely, Princess Luluna from the popular light novel series, Elf Forest. Mayo is content to admire her favourite fictional character from afar, until she receives an incredible opportunity. Elf Forest’s mysterious writer is looking for a housekeeper! The reclusive woman is named Komikado Hijiri, and soon Mayo finds herself living under Hijiri’s roof. Contrary to Mayo’s beliefs, Tsuchimi Rui is not a middle-aged man, but a young woman only a few years older than she is: a reclusive, awkward hermit who, despite being sub five feet tall, has a biting tongue and a needle-sharp personality. As Mayo grows fond of Hijiri, she wonders: who does she really care about? Princess Luluna, or the author who created her?
Gaming News:
Ahead of the premiere of its final season, we got the announcement of a new My Hero Academia game! Published by Bandai Namco and developed by Byking, this is the third entry in this 3D arena fighter series, with this new title aiming to retell the climax of the original manga/anime. New to this entry is the ability to switch between two allies you can bring into battle and a Rising system that will power up your character to give you an edge against your opponent.
My Hero Academia: All’s Justice is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. No release date was announced at this time.

Anime Expo, the largest anime convention in the world recently took place, and it came a ton of exciting announcements! There’s quite a bit, so let’s dive into the highlights:
CD Projekt Red announced that a second Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series is now in production! After the immense success of the original series, fans will be thrilled to hear that Studio TRIGGER are returning for this new series. This will not be a direct continuation of the original series; rather, this second series is described as a standalone story that tells a tale of redemption and revenge.
No release window for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 was announced at this time.

A second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has been confirmed and is coming somewhat soon! For those unaware, the series tells the story of a world many years after the defeat of a Demon King that once ravaged the lands. We follow the footsteps of Frieren, an elven mage wanting to fulfil the dying wishes of her old comrades while taking on a new apprentice.
The second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is set to premiere in January 2026.

The long-awaited continuation of Chainsaw Man is fast approaching, so MAPPA unveiled a new trailer for the film that will continue the story! Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is the follow-up to the first season as it introduces new characters in the intense art style the series is now famous for. The new trailer for the film revealed that Kenshi Yonezu will be returning to provide the theme song for the film, with him originally providing the opening theme from the first season.

Not long after the conclusion of its third season, we already have confirmation that a new season of Re:Zero is in the works! During Anime Expo, we got a trailer for the fourth season, along with a new key visual for the next step in Natsuki and his ally’s journey.

After the conclusion of the first season, we got the news that a second season of a popular spin-off manga is in production! My Hero Academia: Vigilantes‘ second season was teased with a short trailer and a new key visual. We also got word for when we can expect the story to continue.

The fourth and final cour that will conclude the story of Tite Kubo’s Bleach got a small update at Anime Expo! Revealed in the form of a new teaser image, Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War‘s fourth cour will premiere in 2026.
After the original anime adaptation came to an end in 2021 and the movie that followed in 2023, fans of Black Clover will be so happy to hear the series is returning! Being advertised as a second season, we got our first look at the continuation of the series with a teaser trailer and a key visual of the protagonist, Asta.
Season two of Black Clover has no release window at this time.

After receiving a new key visual last week, we now have our first proper look at the new anime series that adapts the legendary manga, Fist of the North Star! This new adaptation looks to be using a mixture of both 2D and 3D animation, along with the announcement that Shunsuke Takeuchi will be providing the voice for the series’ protagonist, Kenshiro.
Fist of the North Star will premiere in 2026.

We’re getting another anime adaptation of Junji Ito‘s stories! The series is called Junji Ito Crimson and will be using multiple stories from the famous mangaka, with Yumi Matsutoya performing the series’ opening theme.
No release window for Junji Ito Crimson was announced at this time.
Upcoming Releases:
A re-release of a cult classic PSP franchise is arriving this week! Patapon 1+2 Replay packages together the first two games in a remastered form, with this new release also coming with quality of life features to make the game easier for those who may struggle with its unique rhythm-based gameplay.
Patamon 1+2 Replay launches for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 11th.
